Dear Military Vehicle Enthusiast: July 7, 2019
The Beaverdam Fourth of July parade was a great event. Tim Edwards and all of his kids accompanied Martha and me in the M-151 Jeep. In keeping with Donald Trump’s new theme, we displayed our weaponry including the 50 cal. machine gun and the 81mm mortar. We were sponsored by American Legion Post 90. Cindy Hall who was running for mayor of Beaverdam rode and displayed the 50 cal. Tim Edwards and his four kids provided a trailer load with the 81mm. In the end, we took home first place for Motorized Antique.
I am planning on taking a trailer load of parts and possibly and one of the Jeeps from the Gagnon estate to the MVPA convention. Any member who would like to help, the club will cover some of the expenses (gas and hotel). I apologize for the incorrect date in our last newsletter. The date of the MVPA national convention is August 5 – 10.
I have been in contact with a gentleman named, Kevin. He has a T-16 and a Weasel. He is moving to Virginia and we are looking forward to sharing the fun of his collection.
