September Newsletter 2020

Dear Military Vehicle Enthusiasts: September 1, 2020
The gun show was a big success! We had to put off our event to Sunday because of rain. I want to thank James Boykin for bringing his Jeep, Fritz Eley for bringing his Mule, and, of course, Dabney for bringing his Duce and a half, but, as always, the big attraction was the .50 cal. mounted on my Jeep. I have to admit, given recent riots in some cities, I was a little apprehensive of the new location, but there seemed to be plenty of police support and everyone was well behaved.
This weekend is Graves Mountain Lodge. Dabney, Fritz, Rob White, Blake Shepherd, Warren Newsome and I are going for sure. We would love to see you as well.
I have received notice that Field Day of the Past, Somerset Pasture Party, the Mechanicsville Christmas parade and the Ashland Holiday Parade have officially been cancelled.
We will be having our membership meeting and elections in mid-January of 2021. Exact date and place are to be determined.
The Corona Virus has really taken its toll on our activities this year. Hopefully, we will be back to normal in the spring of 2021.
